Dr David Bartlett To Retire

We wish to inform patients registered with Dr David Bartlett that he intends to retire from General Practice after over 25 years on 1st August 2022. Dr Bartlett has asked us to share the following sentiments “ I consider myself very fortunate to have served the residents of Oakley and then latterly Overton and Kingsclere and surrounding areas for almost a quarter of a century. You have played your own part in our provision of care by being thoughtful, considerate and appreciative. The pandemic has given you the chance to show your gratitude still more and you can be assured that we are all moved by your expressions of support; just when the going gets tough, one of you always comes through with a kind word or a treat to lift the spirits and I cannot put into words how these simple acts motivate us all to keep on keeping on. I will be sorry to leave but the premature deaths of two friends have convinced me to enjoy my good health in retirement while I can. I am reassured by the fact that I leave you in the very capable hands of my colleagues with whom it has been my honour to have laboured in difficult times to keep the ship afloat ”.

After eleven years, Dr Jonathan Rial will also sadly be leaving us in July of this year. He is looking forward to spending more time with his family and focus on his education roles.

Both patient lists will be distributed to other GPs within the Partnership.
