• Dr Judith Lindsay, MBBS, MRCGP

  I joined the Partnership in 1992. I work four clinical sessions, which includes one session caring for our patients in Beech Tree Nursing Home. I have an interest in gynaecology, and am one of the doctors who can fit coils. I am the clinical director for Rural West Primary Care Network, and work with the CCG within the Medicine Management Team.

• Dr David Bartlett, BM, DRCOG, DFFP, MRCGP

  Trained at Southampton University, qualifying in 1992, GPVTS in Portsmouth 1993 -1996. I joined the practice as a partner in 1997 and work 6 sessions per week. My interests are in minor operations, joint injections, heart disease prevention, skin diseases, and child health.

• Dr Nicola Decker, MBBCh MRCGP DCH DRCOG and Family Planning Diploma

  I qualified at St George’s Hospital Medical School in 1996. Following 15 years as a partner in an Aldershot GP practice, I am delighted to have joined Watership Down Health in June 2020. I have been a Clinical Lead in North East Hampshire CCG and continue as Clinical Director of Aldershot Health Primary Care Network. My clinical interests are ‘lifestyle medicine’ especially applied to diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer and women’s health. I fit coils and implants. My passion is prevention and empowering people to take control of their own health. When not at work I enjoy gardening and spending time with my family.

• Dr Christian Chilcott, BM DRCOG MRCGP

  I qualified from Southampton Medical School in 1997 and have worked in Basingstoke, Worthing, Poole and Bournemouth Hospitals. I spent a year working in New Zealand with the surgical team at Waikato Hospital. My medical interests are ENT, Minor Ops, Respiratory Medicine and Dermatology. I am the diabetic lead for the North Hampshire clinical commissioning group and I work for one day a week within the ENT department at the North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke. I have three children who keep me busy but grounded! I share my wife’s passion for sailing but also enjoy sea kayaking and mountain biking.

• Dr Kirsty Pollard, BSc, MBBS, DRCOG, MRCGP

  I achieved a masters degree in Psychology before undertaking my medical training at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine, London, 2007. I Spent my foundation years working at Basingstoke Hospital before completing my GPVTS training in the Winchester training scheme. I joined Overton and Oakley Surgery as a partner in October 2013. I have a special interest in Cardiology and have trained to perform Echocardiology whilst working in the Cardiology Department at the North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke. I also have a special interest in the care of patients with cancer and palliative care.

• Dr Jonathan Rial– MBChB DRCOG FRCGP AFAMEE MAMedEd FAcadMed

  I am leading on the Trainee Portfolio nationally as the Clinical Lead for the RCGP at the moment. I am frequently off at conferences both nationally and internationally presenting on education. I enjoy running, cycling, tennis and travelling. I have two children and a wife.

• Dr Joel Byfield

  I qualified at the University of Southampton School of Medicine in 2011. I completed my GPVTS in Winchester, with my final year of training as a registrar at the Oakley and Overton surgery. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the practice and was delighted to stay permanently in 2017. I work 6 sessions a week and am happy to see all patients.

• Dr Gemma Lahiff

  I qualified at Southampton University in 2011 and remained in the area. After working in Portsmouth for the last 7 years I am looking forward to working in Overton and Oakley. I have a specialist interest in ophthalmology.

• Dr Kate Hughes – BSc, MSc, MBChB, MRCGP

  My medical degree was undertaken at the University of Sheffield, from where I graduated in 2007, having formerly completed a degree in Physiology there too. I trained as a junior doctor in South Yorkshire before moving back home to Hampshire to undertake GP training. Since qualifying as a GP I have worked across Hampshire and Wiltshire as a locum and Salaried GP and joined Watership Down Health in 2019. My special interests are Paediatrics and Palliative Care. My spare time revolves around my family, walking and, if time allows, playing netball and tennis.

• Dr Rebecca Maynard – MRCGP, BM, BSc (Hons), MA (MedEd), DRCOG

  I qualified in 2010, having studied graduate medicine at the University of Southampton following a career change from the world of finance. I completed my GP training in the Basingstoke area and first joined the team at Watership Down Health as a Locum GP in 2018. I returned in 2020 as a permanent member of the team. I enjoy all aspects of general practice and additionally am involved in the teaching of medical students at the University of Southampton and the training of junior doctors.

• Dr Emma Conroy-Smith

  I qualified in 2011 from the University of Bristol where I undertook my foundation training. Following this I worked for a year in Birmingham as a teaching fellow before moving to Australia to work in Emergency Medicine for 18 months. On returning to the UK I started GP training in Southampton and Mid-Wessex. I joined the surgery in 2019 as a registrar and work less than full time due to my young family. I will complete my training in March 2021. I enjoy all aspects of medicine, but particularly Dermatology and Women’s Health.

• Dr Karen Robinson, BSc(Hons) MBBS DCH DFSRH MRCGP

• Dr Jeni Rees, BM DRCOG DFSRH MRCGP PGCertMedEd

  I graduated from Southampton University in 1992 and I have been a GP since 1996. I am pleased to be working part time in the practice since June 2020 and I enjoy teaching medical students and training the next generation of GPs. I enjoy all areas of general practice and I fit coils.

• Dr Caroline Sargeant

  Dr Sargeant completed her training at the University of St Andrews and University of Manchester in 2015 and went on to work as a junior doctor in London. She moved to the area to complete her GP training in Basingstoke and spent her final year as a GP Registrar at Watership Down Health (Oakley and Overton). She is delighted that she has now joined the team as a salaried GP from August 2020. Dr Sargeant is happy to see all patients.
